A small post to mention that I am back in my dear Switzerland. I haven't seen any snow in the past two years. Anyway, back to business over here. I am done with studies, and looking for a place of web developer in Romandie. Let me know if you see any interesting vacant position.
AS3 Captcha class
My blog have been recently attacked by spam bots. As it was not protected by a captcha, I thought it would be interesting to implement one using Flash. I coded an AS3 class for use with amfphp to generate one. The advantage as I see it, is being able then to animate the captcha to prevent it from being seen by OCR robots. The class permits to implement a captcha in a standard html page, but also in a Flash movie. It will be released soon in my 'Goodies' section.
Flash version
The Flash interface for the website is now online. As almost everything was in a database already, I'm using amfphp to import that data straight to my new interface. There is a lot more to implement like deep linking, some pages are still not done, and I have a problem using a custom AS3 class for displaying icons with Flash. You can expect a lot of changes soon.
Research project
The final project of my digital media bachelor will be done on search engine optimisation (SEO) for Flash websites. I am actually building a new interface for my online portfolio that will serve as the case study. Come back soon.
Work placement
I am looking at the moment for a webdesign agency in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth to accomplish 100 hours of voluntary work (3 weeks). It's part of my degree in Digital Media. Let me know if you have interesting contacts.
